Self-hosted dev tool · private alpha
Stop renting agent browsers.
Run your own.
Browserbase, Steel and Anchor run your agent's browser in their cloud, and your logins pass through their servers. xbrowser is a single binary you run on your own box. When your agent hits a login, 2FA or CAPTCHA, you get a link, finish it from your phone, and the agent carries on. Your credentials never leave your machine.
- Self-hosted, no vendor
- No per-session bill
- End-to-end encrypted link
- Real Chromium: any site
Copy a URL out of SSH, watch the localhost callback fail, paste the broken redirect back. Or hand over a long-lived token.
2FA, CAPTCHAs and bank OTPs need a human. Sites like X, LinkedIn and banks block automated browsers.
A hardened, non-automated Chromium runs next to the command. You get one link, and the callback lands where it should.
A real Chromium. Sign into anything.
It's a hardened Chromium build that presents as a normal browser, not an automation-flagged one. Sign into X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, Google, your bank or your company's SSO, and your agent keeps the session.
- X
- YouTube
- GitHub
- Okta / Azure AD
- Banks
- Any site
One line, three steps.
$ xbrowser run --expose cloudflare -- claude
- 1. WrapPut any command behind
xbrowser run --: gh, gcloud, az, claude or your MCP server. - 2. TapWhen the command opens a browser, you get a single-use link and a QR code. Your agent can also send it to you.
- 3. DoneYou sign in, the command exits 0, and the browser and its profile are wiped. Nothing keeps running afterwards.
Why devs run it instead of renting one.

xbrowser open http://localhost:3000
# or embed the live browser in your own UI
<xbrowser-viewer url="…"></xbrowser-viewer>
- vs Browserbase, Steel, Anchor Those run the browser in their cloud, so your logins and cookies go through them. xbrowser runs on your own box: no vendor in the path and no per-session bill.
- vs Browserless Live view isn't in the free image, and the license is SSPL. xbrowser's viewer is built in.
- vs Cloudflare Browser Run It's hosted only and tied to Cloudflare. xbrowser runs anywhere: a laptop, a container, CI or SSH.
- vs noVNC sandboxes The viewer link is token-bound, single-use and end-to-end encrypted, not left open.
- vs browser-open forwarders You don't need a client on your laptop, so it works from any phone.
- vs device codes It also gets past 2FA, CAPTCHAs and localhost callbacks.
Get into the alpha.
We're onboarding a small group of teams that run agents on remote boxes, in devcontainers or in CI. Tell us your setup and we'll get back to you personally.
In development, not yet released. Self-hosted, with no account and no telemetry. We'll only use your email to contact you about the alpha.
